Hey Fuel,
Very interesting stuff, especially for 2AM. I just finished reading your archives. Congrats on the WSOP seat!
We have a couple of things in common (poker is not one of them - you're clearly at a stage and at stakes well beyond me right now).
But I too am a Rothko enthusiast (the Albright Knox in Buffalo has a few underappreciated gems). And
I'm also a Canuck (expat) from Toronto.
In addition I'm the son of a psychiatrist, and a physician myself, so I read with interest your thoughts concerning the mania-creativity link. There is another school of thought that holds this is a stereotype that is essentially fallacious. Many kids who go through "gifted" education now are deliberately taught not to believe the hype, because it can be teleological.
I totally agree your skill set, proficiency with numbers and tourney results all bode well for your time at WSOP. Good luck with it, and I'll see you at WWdN or The Mookie [Blogger Escapism at its best!]. Apologies for running on.
Nice playing with you last night. My pokerstars name is sportingimag.
Sweet
I found you!
